Strengthening Retention of positive Mothers and HIV Exposed Infants in Iganga District.

Through this 2year project, PROWOCAVU contributes to a reduction in loss to follow up in PMTCT and paediatric HIV infections, a major concern at Iganga District. The project addresses the needs of positive mothers, through strengthening the capacity of mentor mothers, village health teams (VHTs), community counsellors to effectively advocate, support and monitor PMTCT initiatives working in liaison with the health workers. The project is implemented in partnership with Integrated Disabled Women Activities (IDIWA) with support from Positive Action for Children Fund (PACF) / ViiV Healthcare Ltd.
